The cleanup group consisted of employees, family and friends – including honorary Graybar teammate Juan, a U.S. Marine stationed at Miramar.

Recently, Graybar San Diego, along with their family and friends, spent a Saturday in June participating in a beach cleanup with the Surfrider Foundation at Moonlight State Beach in Encinitas, California.

During the cleanup the group was amazed at how much plastic foam they were finding. Plastic foam is non-biodegradable and is causing great risk to sea life and the eco-structure. As a result, the branch has decided to replace all plastic foam products with paper and other reusable or recyclable items.
